Over the coming decades the search for answers should be led by a dynamic dialogue between politicians, scientists, and the public. For this purpose, the leading demographic research centres in Europe have founded the collaborative network Population Europe, which has grown to include 20 participating institutions and more than a hundred eminent researchers. Population Europe is supported by the European Commission and collaborates closely with the relevant institutions of the European member states, the United Nations, and partners in the United States.
